{"id":5575,"date":"2021-04-08T15:18:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-08T15:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/velezylozano.com\/?p=5575"},"modified":"2021-04-08T15:18:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-08T15:18:00","slug":"dr-garcia-velez-webinar-oral-anticoagulants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/velezylozano.com\/en\/dr-garcia-velez-webinar-oral-anticoagulants\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Garc\u00eda V\u00e9lez concludes the webinar \"Management of oral anticoagulants in the dental clinic\" by Dr. Federico Mart\u00ednez L\u00f3pez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>The Chartered Organisation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consejodentistas.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Dentists in Spain<\/a>, <\/strong>known as the Council of Dentists, whose president is the Murcian stomatologist Dr. Oscar Castro Reino, has organised 8 webinars to promote the continuing education of dentists in Spain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first webinars provided guidelines for pandemic control in the dental clinic, offering essential information on SARS-CoV-2 and how to proceed in the dental clinic to treat our patients safely and effectively. <strong>avoid infection<\/strong> cross-cutting in one direction or the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"Management of oral anticoagulants in the dental practice\", is the title chosen by the <strong>Dr. Federico Mart\u00ednez L\u00f3pez, <\/strong>Doctor by profession, stomatologist and professor of the dentistry subject \"Special Patients\" at the University of Murcia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the webinar, Dr. Martinez reviews the classic anticoagulants, as well as the new ones, and tries to establish a protocol of action in the dental clinic, in order to <strong>minimising possible haemorrhagic complications <\/strong>without increasing the thrombotic risk in patients treated with this type of drug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Garc\u00eda V\u00e9lez, in charge of the dental surgery and dental implants area of the dental clinic <a href=\"https:\/\/velezylozano.com\/en\/\">V\u00e9lez and Lozano,<\/a> summarises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>- Throughout the history of the <strong>anticoagulant drugs,<\/strong> such as Sintrom, the guidelines have been modified, even interrupting treatment with heparin injections to prepare the patient for dental treatments that could cause bleeding\".<\/p><p>- The launch of the new anticoagulants on the market caused some confusion at first, but they are gradually proving to be an effective and effective way of reducing blood pressure. <strong>very safe<\/strong> in dental treatment\".<\/p><p>- Even so, it is always advisable to have a consultation with the patient's follow-up physician in order to be able to <strong>adapt the guidelines to each individual case<\/strong>\".<\/p><\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish Dental Association, known as Consejo de Dentistas, whose president is the Murcian stomatologist Dr. Oscar Castro Reino, has organised 8 webinars to promote the continuing education of dentists in Spain.
