In some cases, the fundamental problem may be teeth that are too crowded, due to a lack of space, while in others, we may find that the teeth in the upper jaw are too far forward in relation to the teeth in the lower jaw (what orthodontists call class two), or the other way round (known as class three, which is characterised by the lower teeth being too far forward in relation to the upper teeth).
