The importance of regular visits to the dentist

According to a survey carried out by the Consumers and Users Organisation (OCU) a 23% of Spaniards do not visit their dentist unless they have an acute problem.. Lack of time is one of the most commonly used arguments for skipping check-ups, along with a phobia of the dentist or the high cost of treatment. Other times, we simply cannot find the time to pick up the phone and plan these regular visits.

Prevention and Review

However, preventive dentistry is a fundamental part to maintain good oral health and avoid oral diseases that can have negative repercussions on the health of the rest of the body, as discussed in other articles in the blog.

Waiting for pain or a broken tooth is not a good idea. By the time it happens, it is too late and we will have to receive much more complex and expensive treatments.

A prevention plan with regular visits to our trusted dentist and good habits at home, will decrease the possibility of treating major oral problems later on. In addition, with proper hygiene and X-rays, we can anticipate pathologies and prevent them, or treat them at an early stage, when they have not yet shown their face.
