This 5 June, as every year, is World Environment Day, a date promoted by the United Nations to address the need to educate about the need to respect the ecosystem. Although the activities and initiatives promoted by this type of governmental organisations are always aligned with the fundamental values of respect for the planet (waste recycling, energy saving, equitable distribution of consumption, etc.), each year a more specific theme is chosen.
For example, last year's theme was plastic pollution. This year, 2024, under the theme 'Our lands, our future' will address issues such as land restoration, drought resilience and desertification. This same year our team participated in a reforestation and replanting activity on trails in the Valley, but from our clinic we have always aligned ourselves, as part of our company philosophy, with respect for the environment.
Therefore, we use recycled paper, reusable bottles and have recycling bins. We turn off lights in empty rooms and between patients. At the corporate level, we use compostable cups, sign digitally, send information telematically and follow ecological protocols. In addition, we use energy-efficient LED lights and double-sided printing.
