Many patients in the Region of Murcia who want to improve their smile ask themselves "what is it about celebrities that makes everyone want to look like them? Why are they so attractive?"
In addition to cosmetic surgery, in some cases confirmed, in others rumoured, many celebrities enjoy a perfect smile: white and harmonious.
But how is it possible that only people with beautiful teeth become famous? The answer is very simple: they wear veneers ceramics.
But what is a veneer?
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is glued onto the tooth, so that we can change both the shape and the colour of the tooth, giving it that perfect look that we admire so much in our favourite actors and actresses, regardless of our initial situation.
What are the advantages of using veneers?
- Closing of "black spaces
- Alignment of crowded teeth without orthodontics (braces)
- Perfect aesthetics
- They are very thin, so they are not noticeable.
What are the limitations of veneers?
The tooth has to be prepared, which means that we have to grind a minimum space to accommodate the veneer, which is an irreversible procedure.
What is the procedure for placement?
Now that we know the advantages and disadvantages, let's see how they are put on.
First of all, the patient goes to a dentist expert in aesthetic dentistryThe dentist will take a first mould of your teeth.
With this mould, the dentist will make a study and design a wax-up, which will allow the patient to see what their teeth will look like in the end.
Once the patient is happy with the shape of their teeth, the colour of the teeth is decided and the dental preparation is carried out, which consists of reducing the tooth enamel by a few tenths of a millimetre, thus creating the necessary space for the veneer to occupy.
Once the teeth are prepared, a new high-precision mould is taken, using state-of-the-art vinylpolysiloxane, to fabricate the final veneers in a completely predictable manner.
During this same visit, temporary teeth are fitted so that the patient can lead a normal life while the definitive veneers are being made.
Finally, the patient comes in to have the temporary teeth removed and the veneers permanently bonded, finishing the work and obtaining the perfect smile thanks to the work of his or her cosmetic dentist.
