Today, 17th September, apart from the Romería de la Fuensanta in Murcia (which is why our dental clinic is closed until tomorrow) is World Patient Safety Day for the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Each year the WHO chooses a slogan to serve as a specific theme for action, and this year's slogan is: "Correct diagnoses, safe patients". This is intended to highlight the importance of correct and timely diagnosis as the ideal way to ensure patient safety.
At Vélez & Lozano we believe that our work as a dentist in Murcia that seeks excellence and the highest quality in our treatments also goes through there, and that is why we insist a lot on the importance of complete dental check-ups and that is what we try to transmit to our patients.
Sometimes we find patients in the dental office who do not understand the importance of dental X-rays, or they are looking for a "quick cleaning" without a check-up or with a simple superficial check-up, but an accurate diagnosis is essential to be able to offer a quality service and treatment, or some pathologies that have no noticeable symptoms for the patient may be overlooked.
