This past weekend, 6th and 7th May, the course 'Digital protocols. Tips in daily practice', given by Dr. Lucas Queiroz Caponi, an expert in the field and author of the book 'Introduction to digital dentistry'. Our colleagues Diego Saura and Fran Sánchez-Alcaraz attended the course, in which Queiroz, who practices in his native Italy, where he obtained his doctorate, later completed his training in Spain.
Dr Queiroz addressed various parts of the digital process applied to dentistry, from data acquisition with CBCT or photography to the actual fabrication, additive or subtractive, including Mock-up. The course, which took place on Friday from 16:30 to 20:30 and on Saturday from 9:30 to 13:30, was organised by the College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Murcia and was held at its own headquarters.
Doctors Saura and Sánchez-Alcaraz attended the training motivated and aware that digital is also the future in the field of dentistry. For this reason, at Vélez y Lozano we apply it in our dental clinic in Murcia in all areas, from guided surgery for the placement of implants to 3D planning in aesthetics or orthodontics.
